Jack Goulding is Professor of Construction Project Management in the Grenfell-Baines School of Architecture, Construction and Environment at the University of Central Lancashire, UK, and Director of the research Centre for Sustainable Development. A Chartered Construction Manager by profession, Jack has over 30 years’ experience in the sector, and holds a fellowship with the Higher Education Academy-FHEA, UK.

From a research perspective, Jack is advisor to several organisations, with extensive experience in academic and practiced-based research, teaching, and consultancy. Jack has worked on and led several national and international projects in the areas of ICT, virtual reality tools, open manufacturing simulation training, and business-driven solutions. Expertise includes: project management, sustainability, modern methods of construction, building information modelling and simulation. He has specific expertise in modern methods of construction and stakeholder engagement.

Jack’s research outputs have been reported in more than 150 refereed quality research publications, including journal articles, conference papers, monographs, and books. As the coordinator of CIB TG74, he led the development of two major reports in Offsite Production and Manufacturing. He has also contributed to academia through keynote addresses, leading conferences, being an Advisory Board member of numerous international research journals, and acting as an external examiner for many PhD students.  Jack is also the Editor of Construction Innovation, an established journal with over 20yrs heritage.
